Two Big Announces

Diablo 3 and Quake Live!

Blizzard announced Diablo 3, the third installment of their action RPG, at their World Inivtational held in Paris, France.  Fans of the series have been looking forward to this for a long time now.  The announcement comes as a surprise, as Blizzard is currently working on Wrath of the Lich King, the second expansion pack to World of Warcraft.  Seeing as their two different types of games, I don’t see Diablo 3 taking any momentum away from WoW for an extended period of time.

Quake Live - A web based version of Quake 3, and completely free.  Ads will be displayed in game, but will not be installed onto the user’s machine.  It comes fully packed with a rating system, allowing you to play people in your skill bracket.  It is still in development, but you can sign up for the Beta at www.quakelive.com
